FFXIV Materia explains: How to apply Materia to equipment

If you want to do your best in Final Fantasy XIV, it is for players of all skills a must learn how to apply Materia to equipment. Whether you craft, collect or plunder, Materia can give you the advantage you need to land critical hits like crazy or create HQ items when using normal materials. These small joyous gems can be used as soon as they get equipment with materia slots, and sometimes even five materia can be put in a single armor! With the intro out of the way, here's all we know how to apply Materia to equipment in Final Fantasy XIV.

How to apply Materia to the equipment in Final Fantasy XIV

To apply Materia to Equipment in Final Fantasy XIV, you must first complete Quests in Central Thanalan to unlock Materia fusion, and then use either a Materia merging NPC or levels a craftsman to merge it. However, there is much more to know about merging Materia, z. See below!

The basics

As mentioned earlier, you have to complete the following quests to start merging at all, depending on what you are looking for.

  • NPC-Supported merge - increase an arbitrary class on LVL 19 and then complete the Quest Forging The Spirit in Central Thanalan (x: 24, Y: 13.8). After completion, there are now NPCs on every market in the city sites, which merge against a fee Materia with their equipment.
  • Merge it - increase any craft class on LVL 19 and then close the quests forging the spirit (Central Thanalan (x: 24, Y: 13.8)) and Waking The Spirit (Central Thanalan (x: 23.6, Y: 13.9)). As soon as both are completed, you can use and can use the Materia merging action with which you can attach Materia yourself to the equipment.

Once you have your method, you now need to know what Materia can be used. The Item Level (ILVL) of the equipment decides which type of material can be attached. The higher the level of Materia, the higher the ILVL must be your equipment before you can attach it. This should ensure that the game balance is not broken.

To get materia for merging, you can do dungeons, buy them from the market board, swap tokens for it or just play the game normal. The more you use equipment if the content of the item level of your equipment is equivalent or exceeded (including craft recipes on its level), you receive spiritbond. As soon as you have received enough spirit bond, your equipment finally reaches 100% and gives a notification in the game that it has reached the maximum. Once you have reached the maximum, a new action named Extract Materia will be displayed when you select your equipment on the character screen. The extraction of Materia here does not cost anything and puts your Spirtbond back to 0, which means that you can go out for more Materia.

Final Fantasy XIV - How to Gear Up The last thing you should know about Materia is pentamamelding and really, it's not something that many players deal with. PentaMamerme is, as the name implies, adding five materia to a single piece of equipment through the use of Advanced Materia Melding. In order to try a pentamammerd, Advanced Materia Melding has to be unlocked by reaching Level 25 and completing the Quest Message Materia Muchly in Central Thanalan (X: 23.8, Y: 13.6). Note that you must have completed Waking The Spirit for which a craftsman is needed on stage 19. As soon as you have done this, turn off Advanced Materia Melding, with which you can merge beyond the number of available slots of an equipment item. If you see the words in the picture above, you can not milk beyond the available slots.

If you try to merge over the number of slots on a equipment section, your chance will succeed in success with every added Materia. To make this really worthwhile, look for Materia with a higher probability of success by dipping back to the lower levels of Materia. Well, that's it! This is our crash course to apply Materia on equipment in Final Fantasy XIV. Share it with a freshman if you want to spare a little reason next time.

About FFXIV Constant 90002 Error

Frankly, your ISP won't solve the problem either. After getting in touch with upper tier support the last time i had this problem and having my path changed by them, It didn't result in much change. It's Square Enix's ridiculous servers and the paths that have to be taken to get to them. It should be their job to fix this problem, not ours. The reality is if your connection is fine to everything else, then it isn't you or your ISP. It's certainly no ISP related issue when half of my FC across 12 different providers all started getting 90k's the night of 3.3 and still continue to, even after the most recent "fix" on the 16th. 90xxx errors are errors that says "connection dropped somewhere". You can try rebooting all your stuff (computer or PlayStation, router, wifi, etc) UDP :55296-55551 and TCP :80, 8080, 443, 55296-55551 FFXIV use, be sure to forward them by your router, also I added them to exclusion rules in my windows firewall.
