Actually, video games are intended as a deflection. One should have fun when moved by fantastic worlds and forget the worries of everyday life. But sometimes players come together and recognize tragic destinies from reality not only, but even honor them.
Also in the MMORPG Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn (Buy Now 22.99 €) is the case. While in May the deceased Berserk-Mangaka Kentaro Miura honored, one came together to mourn the death of a well-known synchronizer. The speech is from Stephen Critchlow, the voice behind Graf Edmont de Fortemps from Final Fantasy 14.
Player honor the synchronizer with mourning creations on Reddit and YouTube
Critchlow died in the delicate age of 55 a few days ago. As a synchronizer of Count de Fortemps, he moved many players with his expressive voice and convincing performance, some of them even tears. Also Eliot Lefebvre, FF14 columnist at Massively Overtpowered was a confessed fan of Critchlows work:
[Critchlow] offered an incredibly strong performance after the death of the Bastardsohn of the Count. Edmont de Fortemps collapsed under tears when he hears from the death of Hachefant. He tries to preserve the version and talks about how proud he proudly Son and then he collapses he, because he becomes aware that his son is dead. And [Critchlow] has played the masterfully.
Many final fantasy 14 players seem to share this opinion and honored the sync spokesman with meetings. Some subsequently shared these on Reddit and YouTube. Many are shocked over the sudden death of Critchlow and want to pronounce them through this action because they appreciated and admired his work.
