A Youtuber has landed his absolute dream job with some impressive Star Wars videos - and can now work in the Special-Effects team of Lucasfilm at the franchise.

The Youtuber Shamook has made aware of in the past with several complex and deceptively real deefrake videos and piled just under 90,000 subscribers for his channel. Particularly popular were his Star-Wars defakes, in which he has edited animated faces from the Sci-Fi Universe extremely realistic. Even the makers of the films his videos have noticed, because Lucasfilm has recruited him shortly.

To Rogue One and The Mandalorian: Star Wars Fan is now working for Lucasfilm

In his Star-Wars defakes, Youtuber Shamook has revised certain CGI scenes from the Hit series The Mandalorian and the Prequel Rogue: A Star Wars Story . In The Mandelorian, the young Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) had a guest appearance thanks to CGI, but his animated face did not completely correspond to the original. Shamook has revised the same scene in his deep-pave video and thus achieves a better and lifelike result.

Also in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story were shown clearly rejuvenated with Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Grandmoff Tarkin (Peter Cushing) two actors by CGI - and here, too, Shamook has more realistic versions with his defakes than in the movie can provide animations shown.

Deefake-YouTuber works now on Star Wars

At Lucasfilm, Shamook has obviously responded by his work properly. His job title is now: Senior Facial Capture Artist.
